Gov. Howard Dean to visit eastern Idaho

BOISE, Idaho
-- Democratic National Committee Chairman
Howard Dean will visit Pocatello on
Aug. 8th as
part of the DNC's 50 state strategy to compete
in every state. Dean will join
and address local Democrats at an Idaho
Democratic Party Picnic at Bonneville
Park
(next to Holt Arena) at 12:30 p.m.
"Gov. Dean will rally
Democrats to continue organizing
in their communities, and discuss the
Democratic Party's values of fairness,
toughness, and fiscal responsibility," said
Idaho Democratic Party
Chairman Richard
Stallings.
With the help of
the DNC's State Partnership Program, the Idaho
Democratic Party has brought on board three
full-time professional staffers --
two regional organizers and one communications
director. Those
hires have translated into healthier
Democratic organizations in all 44 Idaho
counties with continuing outreach throughout
the election cycle -- not just in
election years.
“The effort has added a level
of energy unseen in the Idaho
Democratic Party since the Andrus
Administration,” Stallings said.
Gov. Dean will
be present at three Idaho
events on Aug. 8. The first is a reception
at the home of
hosts Mark & Eva Nye. It is
from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at a cost of $125
per person or $225 per couple. The
address is 173 South 15th Avenue
Pocatello.
Please RSVP to (208)
336-1815 or by email at

The second
appearance will be at the 4th Annual
Richard
Stallings Event Picnic and
Rally, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30
p.m. The location is Bonneville
Park
(next to ISU's Holt
Arena). The price of admission includes a BBQ
lunch buffet and is $20 for
singles, $50 for families
(Those attending
the reception pay no additional charge to
attend the picnic
and rally)
