I grew up in Ada County in a rental near the Boise airport. My brothers and I went through the Boise School District. We played sports in our local parks. My parents worked hard every day to give me the best opportunities possible. Even though my parents worked full time, we lived paycheck-to-paycheck. We were always one surprise bill, one broken-down car, on medical emergency away from being able to afford groceries. There were times we lived solely off of credit cards or the generosity of family friends.

The work we do as Ada Democrats is personal for me because I know there are other families struggling to make ends meet each month as much as mine did. I know that the fortune of families like mine will not change as long as single party rule remains in Idaho. I believe the best way to shape a positive future for our community is to elect progressive candidates to local positions to fight for dignity, and love, and compassion. We must give everything we can to elect qualified and intelligent candidates at the local level.

In order to make substantial change in how Democrats perform in local elections, we have to invest in the voters in Ada County. That’s why we are building a year-round field program to organize Democrats across Ada county. Our plan is simple: organize everyone, organize everywhere.

Ada Dems have raised $25,000 towards our $30,000 goal to launch our field program in April. Thank you to everyone that has pitched in to help reach our goal! If you haven’t already, please consider donating.
