Just a few more days until the May 16th elections!

Vote Tripling

Elections are right around the corner. We know that in these library elections and school levies, turnout is incredibly low! So, outside of door knocking, phone banking, and the work we have been doing leading up to now, what can we do to increase our turnout?

Vote tripling is a concept that takes the pressure of contacting more Democrats and spreads it to everyone involved. It’s a pretty simple concept! When we’re at the doors, we just ask every voter who supports our candidates to bring two of their friends with them when they go to vote. That way, we triple the number of voters we reached with our efforts!

This concept uses the power of “relational canvassing”, which is the straightforward idea that talking to people you already know is much more effective than talking to strangers. Relational canvassing can be pretty tough to coordinate, but spreading it out to every voter we talk to is a surefire way to reach more people, and be more effective at reaching those additional people!

Ada Dems Voter Guide Page

Are you unsure of who to vote for in this election? Do you struggle to remember the names of the candidates? Look no further, because here on one handy page, we have the Ada County Democrats Voter Guide!

This is a very simple page right now, because we have only a few simple elections going on, but in the future, we will always use this page to show the candidates the County Party has endorsed, and we’ll include information you might need, like the dates of the election, links to updating your voter registration, and more! Check out our Voter Guide today!

Ada County Elections Sample Ballot

Another amazing tool that is available to all of us here in Ada County is the Sample Ballot page, courtesy of the County Elections Office. You can find it on the Ada County Elections website, or through our handy redirect at https://www.adademocrats.org/sampleballot/

All you have to do is enter your address, and you will see a sample of your upcoming ballot! This page might not be available too long before an election, but it’s available right now for Tuesday’s election, and we’ll be sure to update you on this newsletter when they open up again for November’s election!
