Get Out The Vote!
This month, at our Central Committee Meeting, I will be hosting a short Get Out The Vote (GOTV) training. We will be focusing on the “why” of GOTV, as well as the smaller details pertaining to this year’s election. With the Municipal races being different from usual years, as well as the lack of other Field workers, it is going to look a lot different from last year.
Why do we run GOTV the way we do? In an ideal world, we wouldn’t even have to run GOTV, and theoretically, we could be doing it differently. If you’ve ever participated in Door Knocking or Phonebanking for GOTV, you may have asked yourself why we approach it the way we do. All this and more will be explained to the best of my ability (and within my time constraints!) at the October Ada Dems Central Committee Meeting.
