We’re celebrating our success!

Campaign Manager Training

July 30th and 31st, the Ada County Democrats hosted our very first Campaign Manager Training! This project has been one of our biggest goals for the year, and serves to address the needs of the political community in Idaho by educating new, returning, and advancing campaign staff. For 8 hours each day, we covered 16 different topics with 5 different speakers.

The training was a resounding success! We had 12 attendees, amazing questions and discussions, and some great feedback to continue shaping and improving our training which will become a staple of the Ada County Dems Programming.

Special thanks to our guest speakers – Heather Colwell, Emily Walton, and Erik Berg, who helped Executive Director Richard Peebly and Field Director Lily Pannkuk with this endeavor. We are lucky to have help from experts like them!

After this training, I’m incredibly excited to welcome a host of new campaign staff to the Idaho political arena. We are so lucky to have passionate people willing to work for change in Idaho!

The Gracie Pfost Gala

Have you purchased your tickets for the Gracie Pfost gala yet? Previous newsletters have discussed the beautiful venue, the amazing speakers and the many great auction items, but the reality is we need your support to continue our great work! Do you realize that we are the only county party in Idaho to have paid staff, and we have two? Because of your past generosity, Ada County Democrats employ a full time Executive Director and Field Director whose efforts were instrumental in our recent successful Library Board trustee elections. With the help of these staffers over the last two years, we have:

  • Knocked ~34,500 doors
  • Made ~27,000 phone calls
  • Registered over 700 voters
  • Recruited hundreds of new volunteers
  • Trained new campaign managers
  • Assisted with numerous local campaigns
  • Trained district chairs and precinct captains throughout Ada County

The Pfost gala is our largest fundraiser, and we only hold it on odd years. We are dependent on the income from it to continue our successful programs through 2024.

If you have any desire to get involved with Voter Registration – at events like the Soul Food Festival, the Western Idaho State Fair, Boise Pride, or door knocking in your neighborhood – please come and join us on this training.
